So I have been wanting to do some sort of blog since we bought ur home a few years ago. Being creative means always having another project... or 2 or 3 on the horizon. My poor husband just agrees reluctantly but helps me along none the less!
So we bought this house because we needed a double car garage to do all our printing in and a bigger house for the endless amount of blanks we carry. so here we go!
Our front path looked more like a landing strip then a pathway so I wanted to make it a bit more organic looking.
Step one, start project on cold and rainy march day.
Our house is on a fairly busy street so I wanted to encourage people to park on the side of our house and enter from there.
Step 2, Remove all stones.
Wear gloves!
Step 3, Reshape path.
I had no plan, so I just went for it and then filled in with bits of the grass and dirt chunks I had removed where needed.
as you can see I dressed in appropriate clothes for doing this? hmmmmm.
Step 4
I should of put down weed blocking fabric however I hadn't learned about that stuff yet. I went strait into filling in with sand and replacing stone bricks on top of that. I should of used a ton more sand, but oh well!
I also started doing a path down below to walk others from the curb to the sidewalk.
and ta da!
I literally had to undress at our back door, I was covered in dirt and yuck. but well worth it:)
Lastly I poured sand on the path and then swept the sand all into the cracks.
