Hi, we’re Sweetpea and Boy.
Well, technically we’re Samantha and Joel. “Sweetpea and Boy” just looks better on a tag.
We’re the wife-and-husband team behind every shirt, onesie, hoodie and hat on this site. No warehouse, no factory, no corporate headquarters. Just the two of us, a lot of ink, and a two-car garage in Tacoma, Washington, that hasn’t seen an actual car in years.
How it started
Back in 2013, Sam needed somewhere to put all the designs living in her head. A few drawings turned into a few shirts. Then a few more. Somewhere along the way the hobby got bigger than the garage it lived in. (We still haven’t moved out. We’re stubborn like that.)
Who does what
Sam dreams up and draws every design. If it made you smile, laugh, or say “oh, that’s SO Seattle,” that was her.
Joel handles the business side: orders, emails, markets, and making sure the website works. If something’s broken, it’s also him, but he’ll fix it fast.
What we make
Soft, original apparel for babies, kids and grown-ups, inspired by the place we love: mountains, evergreens, rainy days, old ballparks, and the quirky spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Most designs are screen printed by hand right here in Tacoma, on the comfiest fabrics we can find. We’re picky about softness, so you don’t have to be.

Some of you have been with us since our very first market table. Some of you found us last week on Instagram. Either way, you’re the reason this little garage keeps humming. Every order, every wave at a Puget Sound market, every photo of your kiddo in a Sweetpea onesie makes our whole day.
We’ll keep drawing, printing and having way too much fun doing it. We hope you’ll stick around for the ride.
